2012 - Missouri Years II

Raymore (continued)

The financial closing on the house was in the afternoon, so we got the last of our things out of the house and into the trailers, motorhome, and pickup in the morning. After closing, we deposited the money and off we went, leaving Starkville behind forever. I drove the motorhome pulling a trailer and Nancy drove the pickup pulling a trailer. The afternoon of the next day we were in Raymore.

In a week's time, we were settled into our Raymore, Missouri home. The tiling was done, the new carpeting was installed, and things were stored in their proper place. Almost immediately we started planning our next home improvement project. Something had to be done with the Master Bathroom. It was small and crowded, partly because there was an internal door in the bathroom separating the toilet and shower from the dual sink vanity. We felt that shower as it was, was an accident waiting to happen. We signed a contract with a remodeler to tear out the doorway, raise the vanity, and build a walk-in shower with no step, no door, one glass wall, single-lever control valve, and a rain shower head. This was all done before we left in the motorhome for Florida in mid-October.
